I'm going to post up songs I love because I never do stuff like this.

Tori Amos - Sleeps with Butterflies.
This 'my' song. It's my favourite and Tori is my favourite artist of all time. I love Tori Amos so so so much. I've seen her twice in concert and I cried.

I just heard this today and it's beautiful! It gave me chills and I played it three times in a room, it really spoke to how I feel right now. I do love MGMT but I think I love this more.

Lisa Mitchell - Romeo and Juliet, I like the original but I LOVE this version so very much. Lisa Mitchell is from my home town and even went to my Pony Club although if she was there when I was there, she was younger and I didn't know her. I think it's still awesome that she's from where I used to call home.

The Shins- New Slang
Reminds me of a lot lot of things. It makes me happy to listen to, it's a pretty song. I love that whole album.

Tori - A Sorta Fairytale. I just ADORE Tori and this song too.

My other favourite Tori Amos songs are Winter, Crucify, Big Wheel, Lovesong (cover).
Bouncing off Clouds:

I was there when she did this cover: Can't Get You Outta my Head and Kylie was going through cancer at the time. I cried and it was just perfect. She actually said at the start 'for a sister' or something very similar but I can't find that version.

OK, enough Tori or I'll be here all day because I love pretty much all her stuff.

This song I just love, it didn't change my life and doesn't have nostalgia attached, I'm just into it.
Kate Miller-Heidke 'The Last Day On Earth'

Tim Finn- Couldn't be done, included for the same reasons, I think it's kind of a cute song I guess and I like it.

You Am I - Heavy Heart

Sia- Breathe Me. Love this, just adore it and it reminds me of the awesome Six Feet Under
No embedding - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ghPcYqn0p4Y&ob=av2e

Sia - Clap Your Hands, this is just pure fun.

Sia- Soon We'll Be Found. If you haven't seen this clip, watch it, it's so beautiful.

The Lucksmiths, they are a Melbourne band that I loved so much when I first moved here. I still love them but they broke up last year. I went to one of their early show in 2000 and then their last one last year.

My very fav is T-Shirt Weather but I also love most of their work especially Under the Rotunda

Alix Olson, a queer spoken word poet, she is amazing.
Checking my pulse is prob my favourite, but I also love Elbows, Eve's Mouth, Unsteady Things and pretty much all her work.

Powerfinger reminds me of year 12 exams as does Crowded House, they were the only two bands I could study to.

Alanis Morrisette reminds me of being an angsty teenager. I played her first cd to death and still occasionally play it.

Sarah Blasko is amazing and I would like to marry her. My fav of hers is: Flame Trees but I love everything else she does too.

I adore Massive Attack, Tricky, Mandalay, Portishead, The Whitlams (I've seen them live a couple of times), Cat Power, Lamb, Aimee Mann, a couple of Melissa Ferrick's songs, Placebo, Olive, Beth Orton, Fiest, Peaches, Placebo, Manic St Preachers etc etc.

Dance-wise I love Drum n Bass, Peaches (esp Fuck the Pain Away), Goldfrapp, Friendly, Aphex Twin, Basement Jaxx (old stuff is better), New Order, Garbage, some of Machine Gun Fellatio, Gerling, Beastie Boys (for old school moods), Hilltop Hoods and I will admit to not liking Kylie if I'm in that kind of mood.

Basement Jaxx - think Rendez Vu not Where is Your Head at and that new stuff.

Friendly - Some Kind of Love Song is my fav of theirs which I just realised has Sia as the vocalist! I can't find it online to listen to at all, I have it on cd somewhere though.

I went to all the Big Day Outs from 1999 - 2007 and I will never go again, I've outgrown it and the vibe is just not what it used to be. If you want to see the bands I've seen at the BDO over the years, it's http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Big_Day_Out_lineups_by_year#1998

HOW THE HELL I FORGOT BELLE AND SEBASTIAN, I DON'T EVEN KNOW.

Anyway, I love them with all my heart. I especially love the whole If You're Feeling Sinister album but I also love Tigermilk and all their stuff before 'Belle' left. Their synth stuff I don't like much because I hate synth, but I'll forgive them for it seeing as they are awesome. I love Stars of Track and Field, Waiting for the Moon to RIse, Fought in a War and and and!!
My fav is Seeing Other People:

Mandalay - Kissing the Day, so beautiful, romantic and gorgeous.

Massive Attack - Protection is very close to my heart. So much love for Massive Attack from me. I also love all their stuff and have a soft spot for Teardrop, I did my year 10 dance entrance to that.

Please suggest music you think I might like.

I really don't like metal or punk or anything heavy. I don't like Tool or Rage Against the Machine at all even though lots of my friends do.
